About

My name is Rachelle.  I am all sorts of crafty and I love to share my expertise and new creative ventures with others.  I am experienced in a variety of crafting projects including scrapbooking and card making.  I am a novice sewer (not sure that really is a word but to call myself a seamstress doesn’t sound quite right) learning to make clothes from patterns and other sewing projects.  I love home decor and interior design.  I hope I get the opportunity to pursue this as a career someday but for now I will focus on projects around the house.  I am wanting to try my hand at carpentry and woodworking so you will have to bear with me as I learn as I go on this one.

I was born and raised in Michigan, where the long cold winters encouraged me to remain indoors scrapbooking.  After getting married I moved out to beautiful Portland, Oregon.  My husband joined the Army, which brought us a few years later to Hawaii.  I know, it’s a tragedy to get shipped off to paradise for three years, but I endured it.  My next move will be to the mysterious Kansas rectangle, where I will likely be encouraged to remain indoors often again.

I have two dogs.  I received my teacup poodle from a Mexican family who could no longer handle the challenges of raising her.  Since they only spoke Spanish, I named her Chica to help her transition to her new life.  My newest buddy, Percy, is a spunky explorer pug/jack russell.  I named him after the pug from Disney’s Pocahantas.

If you have an idea for a project you would like me to try or show you how to do, please suggest it.  I look forward to going on this journey and seeing what crafty things will transpire.
